ABOUT

Jeanah Bauer has 20+ years of diversified visualization design, technical illustration, and graphic arts experience in the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry. In corporate and consulting roles, she has worked on architectural and landscape development projects for a wide range of companies in the public and private sectors—from software and engineering start-ups, to government agencies, to non-profits. Her specialty: Creatively bringing her clients’ vision to life through clear and compelling story visuals.
Jeanah is currently the 3D Visualization Specialist for Moffatt & Nichol Engineers, a global infrastructure advisory firm, and is responsible for the visualization usage covering the lifecycle of projects from presentation of initial concepts to the final stages of production. With an expertise in 2D / 3D modeling and animation, Jeanah is often collaborating with planners, engineers, and landscape architects to prepare 3D visual media for project visualization, and build information modeling and virtual reality environments using real-world data and scale. She works on multi-disciplinary design teams to create animations, renderings, photo-simulations, 360 VR renderings, light and shadow analysis, and construction sequencing for the company’s high-profile clients.
A career highlight was being part of the visualization team that was instrumental in the Oakland Bay Bridge becoming a suspension bridge. You’ll also find her visualization stamp on other successful structures, including the Atlantis Superyacht Marina, the Long Beach Container Terminal (LBCT), and the Rainbow Harbor in Long Beach.
What differentiates Jeanah’s skillset is that she has an additional expertise in graphic design, creative marketing, branding and animation, with previous corporate work and ongoing freelance/volunteer roles in designing digital and print collateral, creating 2d animations for software packages, and producing illustrations for various clients.
Passionate about environmental issues, Jeanah is actively involved with local philanthropic organizations and initiatives, including the American Shore & Beach Preservation Association, Wetlands & Wildlife Care Center of Orange County, Huntington Beach Wetland Conservancy, and California Marine Affairs Navigation Conference.
Jeanah holds a B.F.A. degree in Fine Arts from Sam Houston State University, has completed the 3D Modeling and Animation Program from Cal State Long Beach, and has earned various technical and illustration certifications. She is the recipient of the 2018 Project Pursuit Award from the Society of Marketing Professionals and also the 2008 Unsung Hero Award from the American Shore and Beach Preservation Association (ASBPA).
When Jeanah is not in the office, she’s likely in a skate park—roller skating. And if you happen to catch up to her (which is unlikely since she once set the league record for fastest skater), ask her to share a roller derby story. Growing up as an athlete nurtured her competitive spirit, strong determination and perseverance towards goals. Today, that’s how she rolls. 😉
